Course Description: This course will provide an overview of gut physiology and discuss the contribution of antinutritional factors and epithelial barrier immunopathology to diseases of food producing animals. Topics in gut health and immunity will be explored, including use of in vitro and in vivo animal models to investigate the contribution of nutrient imbalance to risk of disease, nutrition to support the mucosal barrier and the gut immune function, and the potential use of prebiotics, probiotics and postbiotics to support gut health and immunity.

全英文課程《Nutritional aspects of gut health and immunity》（《腸道健康與(yu) 免疫的營養(yang) 問題》）共40個(ge) 學時，計2個(ge) 學分，主講教師為(wei) 加拿大圭爾夫大學Niel Alexander Karrow教授。
